Our Policies

Vaccinations

All dogs must be current on Rabies and Distemper/Parvo vaccines and to owner's best knowledge, be free of any contagious/infectious disease and/or parasites.

Medical and Accidents

While we take every precaution, accidents can occur when working with live animals, such as minor scraps, nicks, or quickening of the nail. If your pet requires immediate veterinary attention and you are unreachable, we will seek care at the owner's expense. SPPS and their staff are not responsible for injury/illness exacerbated by the grooming process, including but not limited to skin irritations, itching, and the like. SPPS will notify you of any issues that are exposed during the grooming process.

Safety

Client dogs must be leashed or crated at all times while on the premises unless otherwise approved by SPPS staff. We prioritize safety; muzzling may be used if necessary (brachycephalic dogs may use an E-collar or "Bubble"). If a pet becomes too aggressive, we may end the session early and the full-service fee will apply.

Cancellations

No-shows or cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a fee (minimum $25, up to 50% of the service cost). A deposit may be required for future bookings.

Fleas

Pets with fleas will automatically receive a flea bath at an additional charge.

Pick-Up

Pets must be picked up within ONE HOUR of notification. A $30 per hour late fee applies thereafter.

Matted Coats

A $20 fee applies for dematting (up to 20 minutes). Severe matting may require a shave-down at an additional cost. SPPS is not responsible for skin irritation, abrasions, hematomas or the like resulting from shaving severely matted pets.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, check, or credit/debit cards. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time.
